FONCTIONS, TÂCHES ET RESPONSABILITÉS: Job description:
LUX decor is seeking a full-time Design Associate to work alongside an excellent team of designers from the decor team. This person is just as good at designing as they are at project management and administrative duties. They work well with a team but are just as savvy at finding solutions on their own. The Associate Designer will receive mentorship and coaching from designers possessing 10 to 20 years of experience to help you evolve into a Lead Designer role in the company.
Responsibilities:
• Support the decor team with decor projects
• Design and manage project coordination
• Manage pricing and quoting for projects
• Conduct site visits and measurements
• Assist at set-ups and finishing services
• Assist in client presentations
• Maintain relationships and communicate daily with clients, tradespeople, and design team
• Taking your time with clients to go above and beyond, surpassing their expectations
PROFIL, COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS: Skills required:
• Strong organizational skills and solution-oriented mindset
• Excellent communications skills and a can-do attitude
• Strong administrative and project management skills
• Creativity and willingness to learn
• Attention to detail
• Start-up mentality, ambition, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD
• Proficiency in English and French (written/spoken)
Education and experience:
• DEC or university degree in design field
• 1 year minimum of design experience
CONDITIONS DE TRAVAIL: Availability:
• Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm with flexibility to start earlier or finish later some days according to project needs
• Hourly rate $16 to $18, depending on experience
• 2 paid sick days per year
• 2 weeks of accrued vacation per year
• Paid week between Christmas and New Year's, not considered vacation, and will be reassessed each year
• 1 extra day off paid the week of your birthday
